Earlier this week, I shared my learnings in 2022. Today in this blog, I will reflect on my achievements in 2022. From personal goals to professional milestones, I will share my experiences and insights in the hopes of inspiring others to pursue their own aspirations. Whether you’re reading this blog as a source of motivation or simply to learn more about my journey, I hope you find something of value in this.
Achivement#1: Becoming a part of KX Knowledge Xchange
As a mentor and advisor at KX Knowledge Exchange (a startup innovation hub of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of startups and help them navigate the challenges of building a successful business. My experience with the Techbite Incubation Program has allowed me to review startups’ pitch decks from 11 countries, and 7 sectors, gave me a unique perspective on the regional startup ecosystem. My work as a mentor and advisor in Thailand has allowed me to directly support a few local startups. My plans to work with a few more in 2023 demonstrate my commitment to helping these companies succeed.
Achivements#2: Become Advisor of Startups
In 2022, I have taken advising and mentoring startups more seriously, and Allhamdulliah, I have already had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of startups in different industries. At this moment, I am advising a few startups from Bangladesh, named Relaxy (Mental health platform) and Silswa (ed-tech), one from Thailand, named SnapPink (A beauty services platform), and another one from the USA, named Viddy (a User-generated video campaigns platform). Next year, I plan to work with another 4/5 startups.
Achivements#3: Active on LinkedIn, Regular Blogging and Networking
At the beginning of the year, I planned to post 100 LinkedIn posts related to startups, personal development, and remote working. So far, I have posed 81 posts on LinkedIn. There will be a couple more by 31st December. So, I will end the year with 83 posts. Not bad, but I could achieve it if I wasn’t distracted for a couple of months around mid of this year.
Since the beginning of 2019, I have had a common new year resolution that I will develop 150 new connections, and by connections, I meant personal connections, not just connections on LinkedIn or Facebook. Honestly, I lost count after 125 which I reached in September. So, I am confident that I already achieved this target. Thanks to LinkedIn, Lunchclub, Facebook, and my fellow contacts who have also helped me to meet new connections.
I planned to write 10 blogs in 2022. So far, I wrote 9 blogs, and including this one, its 10! So, I did it!
Achivements#4: Side Hustle – started Consultancy in Thailand
Starting my side hustle as a consultant in Thailand has allowed me to gain valuable insights into different business sectors, including the online research industry and the restaurant industry. My work with iResearch and a restaurant in Bangkok has given me the opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities that these businesses face and has allowed me to contribute my expertise and ideas to help them grow and succeed. My work as a consultant in Thailand has been a valuable and rewarding experience that has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge and skills and help to make a positive impact on the businesses I have worked with.
I have also joined GRIT Advisory as a Partner, in Bangladesh. We are providing innovation-as-a-service, focusing on digital transformation, fund readiness, corporate finance, growth, marketing, and sales.
Wrap Up
As I reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude and thankful to Almight Allah for all that I have accomplished. From personal goals to professional milestones, I have experienced countless challenges and successes. I have learned valuable lessons and gained new insights that have helped me grow and evolve.
I am grateful to all of the people who have supported me along the way, and I hope that my experiences and achievements have inspired others to pursue their own goals.
As I look to the future, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what the coming year will bring. I have new goals and aspirations that I am eager to work towards, and I am confident that with hard work and determination, I will continue to make progress and achieve even more.
